Believe in the Magic

I didn't manage to get too many Christmas cards made this year, time just didn't allow it and I had to let some things go and unfortunately, that meant my cards.  I have high hopes for next year though and hope to get an early start on them - if the stars align, I plan to start next week with some new Christmas stamps and paper I got in the mail from my friend Chris!  :-)

But I did make a few for my scrappy friends as well as some to serve as thank you notes for family members who gave us gifts but we were unable to thank in person due to our boys being sick and us missing Christmas with my extended family.  It was as easy as changing the inside sentiment stamp I used - I love it when that happens!  ;-)

The snowman stamp is from CTMH 'Pair-a-Phrase' set and the sentiment stamp is from a set that I won not too long ago and love - Robin's Creative Cottage 'Gingerbread Holiday'.  Both the tags are cut from CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cart, the twine is from The Twinery and the paper/cardstock I had in my stash.

I'm entering this into the following challenges...
*Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog's challenge #94 - Snow Fun  (include a snowflake or snowman on your project)
*Paper Playtime challenge #65 - Tags & include a sentiment (make a tag or include a tag on your project with a sentiment)
*My Craft Spot challenge #41- Snow much fun (snowflakes, snowmen, anything to do with snow)

Happy Friday!

Christmas gift bags

Last month I made Christmas gift bags for the teachers at my son's preschool, he only has one main teacher but since there are only 7 teachers in the school, I decided to make one for each of them since they are all so nice!

I cut the gift bags from CTMH Art Philosophy as well as die cuts for the front of the bags and tags to match!  I used a DCWV Christmas stack (the name escapes me right now...), Provo Craft 12x24 card stock, as well as various embossing folders to give them some texture.  I tied the tags on with twine from The Twinery.  The sentiment stamp is Pink by Design 'Scripted Year'.

Circle birthday card

I saw a card a long time ago that inspired my card today, I wish I knew who made it so I could give them proper credit!  I've always loved it and wanted to make one but hadn't yet - I'm glad I did because I love how this turned out!

I punched out a bunch of 1 inch circles using a punch and my new Jillibean Soup 'Blossom Soup' stack, then I adhered them onto a DCWV card base - simple but fun!!  I then used my Cricut and my CTMH 'Art Philosophy' cart to cut out the tag, used a couple of buttons to dress up the tag and then stamped a sentiment using Pink By Design 'Scripted Year'.  Viola!  A birthday card for my MIL!

I guess I forgot to take a picture of the inside because I can't find it anywhere (it was almost 2a and I was tired!) - but I used a strip of the floral paper on the bottom and then stamped a sentiment in the middle!

I'm entering this into Birthday Sundaes Challenge #38 - Birthday Card Challenge (create a birthday card and include a birthday sentiment on the front).

Have a great weekend!

Wreath thank you cards

I needed a couple of thank you cards and wanted to use my new CTMH wreath set - I love the way they turned out!  I used the same style of card but used different color schemes to give them a different look.  I also used my Imaginesce d-stress tool to distress the edges of the first one!  Surprisingly enough, no cricut on this one - that doesn't happen very often!!  ;-)

I used Echo Park 'Times & Seasons' stack for this card and the stamp set is CTMH 'Remarkable Wreath'.

I used Jillibean Soup 'Dutch Mustard Soup' stack for this card, using the same wreath stamp set - it has interchangeable flowers and sentiments - such a neat set!  Both ribbons are from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by to see my latest creation!  Have a great weekend!

Long time no post!!

Sorry for my absence, things around here were crazy with the holidays and I've been working a lot, leaving  no time for crafting or blogging!  But I'm excited to start the new year with new goals for my crafting and get back to blogging!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and had lots of time with your family and friends!  I've had 2 sick little boys for the last week and a half :-(, so hopefully they are all on the mend and my husband and I stay well in the process!

I ordered some paper holders with my Christmas money, to get my stacks organized as well as more holders for my 12x12 and 8.5x11 paper - I got those put together and paper into them last night!  I got an Ott natural light from my parents - a welcome addition to my scrap room - I'm not sure how I went so long without it!!  And my husband and the boys got me a leather office chair with a built-in back massager - I desperately needed an upgrade from my folding chair!  So lots of fun additions to my scrap room, making me even more anxious to get in there!

My new year {scrapping} goals are to finish getting my scrap room organized and keep it that way, as well as dedicating 2 nights/week in my scrap room - one to cards and one to scrapbooking.  I've majorly neglected the boys' scrapbooks the last year and I hate that - I need to get back to them and try to get caught up!  I do miss making pages for their books, so I'm excited to get started with that again!  What are your goals for the new year?

I have some projects to post that I made during my time off here, that I will work on getting posted soon!  I also haven't visited any blogs in quite awhile, so I look forward to seeing what you've all been up to while I  was away!
