I'm the proud new owner...
of the new Expression 2 Anniversary Edition!! I'm SO excited, I ordered it last night during the launch on HSN - it is supposed to be here by May 5!! I was very tempted to bite the bullet and pay for quicker shipping but ended up restaining myself, keeping in mind that I could buy a new cartridge with that $24 in shipping that I was saving! And during the time it takes to get here, I can get my scrap room organized so I have somewhere to put my new machine - because right now it looks like a tornado hit!! Did anyone else watch the launch? Did you buy one too? :-)

Have the Happiest Birthday!
I made this card for my best friend but couldn't post it until this weekend, since her birthday was Friday and I didn't want her to see it on here before she had it in her hands! :-) Hopefully she's gotten it by now, so I can post it!
I cut this dragonfly from Cheerful Seasons Cricut cartridge but I don't remember the size. All the paper was from my stash, I used the D'Vine Cuttlebug embossing folder for the dragonfly. The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases' and I used my i-rock, gems and stencil to make the swirl. I still haven't figured out how to not make the glue squish out on the sides, as you can see on some of them, but hopefully one of these days I'll get that mastered! ;-)
Happy Birthday Diane!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and this card made you smile! :-)

Flaunt It Fridays Challenge
I found a new blog, Flaunt It Fridays, that posts weekly challenges so I wanted to play along! I didn't have the required cartridge, Simply Charmed, so I used the fish from Create A Critter instead, she is cut at 2.5 inches and the bowl I cut at 5.5 inches after I welded 2 together using my Gypsy!
Thanks for stopping by!
I used my Cuttlebug on this card and 4 different embossing folders - Tiny Mosiac (fish), D'Vine Swirl (water), Forest Branches (seaweed), and Swiss Dots (sand). The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'More Punny-licious' and the face stamp (eye part) is Peachy Keen 'Critter Faces Set A Medium.' The twine is from The Twinery.
Thanks for stopping by!

Another Easter card
My husband liked the card I made so much using this cracked egg/chick a couple of weeks ago (it was for someone else), that he asked that I make it again to give to someone in our family for Easter! So I made another one yesterday, for our boys to give to my parents at Easter dinner on Sunday!
I cut the chick/egg from Create A Critter at 3 inches and used a face stamp from Peachy Keen 'Critter Faces Set A Medium', coloring it in with Stampin Up 'Stampin Write' markers and 'Stampin Pastels'. The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments' set. The flower ribbon and paper were from my stash and the card base from DCWV. The bow was made with twine from The Twinery.I just love this chick and with the face, its even better - it just makes me smile! Hope it brightens your day as well!

Thinking of You Today!
I made this for a friend to let her know that I'm thinking about her. I'm entering it in the April Showers challenge at Get Inspired With Chatter Scene.
I used a DCWV card base and some paper from my stash. I cut the chick and umbrella from Create A Critter Cricut cartridge at 2.5 inches. The cloud and rain drops are also from Create A Critter, cut at 2 inches. The face stamp is from Peachy Keen 'Critter Faces Set A Medium' and I colored it in using Stampin Up 'Stampin Write' markers and 'Stampin Pastels'. The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases'. I used my Sizzix 'Winter' and Cuttlebug 'Divine Swirl' embossing folders with my Cuttlebug for the embossing on umbrella and cloud. The ribbon is from American Crafts.

Happy Easter card
One more for the Chatter Scene challenge - I've really enjoyed making these!! :-) This one will either be for my parents or my MIL, I haven't decided yet. So I've got to make one more Easter card and then I can decide!
I found this purple and green paper and that decided my color scheme for this card! The goodies I won on Getting Cricky with K Andrew a couple of weeks ago came in the mail yesterday so I scooped them up and took them to my scrap room with me! When they happened to match the paper I wanted to use, it was perfect!
Supplies used:
card base - DCWV
paper - from my stash
sentiment stamp - My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments'
butterfly - Creative Charms
Cuttlebug, Sizzix 'Paisley' embossing folder

DCWV warehouse sale and blog giveaway!
Sadly living in Missouri, I'm too far away to go to the DCWV warehouse sale... :-( But Erin is giving away a box of goodies from the sale to give those of us who do live too far away, a chance to join in on the fun!! Go here for details!
Easter card and tag for spring challenge
I participated in a Spring Challenge on Chatter Scene and it was so fun, I love making spring cards when its dreary outside, it really helps my mood! With all that has been going on lately, I didn't get these done until late last night and the contest ends today, so they are all done in the nick of time! :-)
These will be going in/on one of the boys' Easter baskets! So I went fairly simple but they still turned out cute!

'On Your Wedding Day' card
I had this idea in my head for awhile and it came out pretty much how I had envisioned - I wish I had a bigger Cricut mat, so I could make bigger envelopes, thus bigger cards. I have it on my need list to get as soon as possible! But all in all, I do like the way it turned out! What do you think?
Its hard to see in the picture but the cardstock behind the stamped images is glittery - the card base, print paper and cardstock is DCWV 'Amber Autum' stacks. I cut the squares using the cricut cartridge 'Classic Font' then I inked the edges with the same ink I stamped the images with (Stampin Up 'Chocolate Chip'), to help them blend into the cardstock. The image stamps are from KI Memories 'Wedding Celebration' set, the sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments' set and the ribbon is from American Crafts.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Happy 1st Birthday!
I had a request for this card, her baby girl is turning one and she calls her 'love bug', so My Pink Stamper's 'Buggy Punnies' stamp set was perfect because it has that sentiment in it and I used My Pink Stamper's 'Sweet Baby' set for the birthday sentiment! I hope she loves it, I enjoyed making it!
I can't remember which cart I got the scallop circle from, but I welded two together using my Gypsy. The ladybug was cut at 3 inches from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cart. I made a square envelope from the Wild Card cart, with a liner that matches the card!

Cute as a Button!
Now that I've finally got the boys healed up from being sick with RSV for the last 2 weeks :-( , as well as myself after a 2nd bout with Mastitis, I can start to have mommy time again! The baby still is waking up every 2-3 hrs at night as we try to get my milk supply back up to where it should be, so I'm tired but its worth it to get back to crafting - I've missed it terribly lately! So last night after we got the boys to bed, I headed down to play for awhile!
I love the way this card turned out, perfect for a new baby girl! I was excited to see this stamp as I was making this card, perfect to use with the HUGE stash of buttons I now have after my last Joann order!
