Thank You card

Hello!  Today is my day to post at The Bug Bytes,  I have another thank you card to show you that I made to send out to a friend to thank her for my birthday gift!

I based it on the sketch below from Scrapbook Steals for Monday Card Madness #79 - I'm really starting to love these sketches and can whip up a card in no time using them!!
I used no machine on this one!  I cut the banner piece with my own two hands, just by folding the end in half and clipping it off! ;)  I cut the chevon piece from the paper itself, just following along the pattern in the paper, which was from Recollections 'Bold Basics' stack.  I used the Seeing Spots embossing folder on the green cardstock, which is from my stash.  I stamped the sentiment, from The Stamps of Life 'mums2stamp', onto a piece of chipboard that came with the elements pack that coordinates with my CTMH Art Philosophy cart, then inked the edges.  Added a few buttons from my stash to pull in the yellow from the print paper and its done!

I finished off the inside with a piece of paper from the same stack as above, that matches the banner piece from the front and a piece of white cardstock to write my message on!

I'm also entering this one into Chris' Just Elements challenge #3 at Get Inspired with Chatter Scene.  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your Monday!!

Crafty Me blog hop winner!

Good morning!  After a long stretch of 5 nights working and then sleeping yesterday, here I am up at 2:30a, unable to sleep anymore!  :-(  So I figured I might as well get some things done and the computer is the quietest way to do that and not wake up everyone else in my house!  ;-)

I used Random.org to draw the winner of my giveaway from this post - Congratulations Debbie!!  Please send me an email using the contact me button at the top of my blog and I'll get these stamps in the mail to you!

WOW, these cards turned out great! I really love the colors you used. So striking. TFS

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and left comments, as well as my new followers, they are all greatly appreciated!!

We are taking our boys to a fun farmstead today to see all kinds of fun animals and to spend the day together as a family - it was a long weekend away from them, so I'm looking forward to it!

Have a great Wednesday!

Crafty Me blog hop

Hello and welcome to The Bug Bytes 'Crafty Me' blog hop!  You should have arrived here from the very talented Chris' blog Get Inspired with Chatter Scene!  If you just stopped by to visit me and want to start at the beginning of the hop, please go back to The Bug Bytes to start the hop and see all the fun projects of this talented group!!

Our theme for this blog hop is Crafty Me and/or green, using these sketches, the first for a card and the second for a LO!

Since I don't usually scrap about my crafty self ;-), I opted to make a card set instead!  I need to build up my stash of generic note cards, so I figured this would be the perfect time since its a crafty me theme and my handmade cards definitely show the crafty me!  :-)

Here are some cards I made using the card sketch and the color green!!  I made a set of monogrammed cards!  :-)  I've been wanting to do it for awhile but haven't gotten around to it yet, so this was the perfect excuse to finally get it done!  I used Kraft cardstock for the card base and my 6x6 Jillibean Soup 'Dutch Mustard Soup' stacks for the patterned paper - this stack is one of my favorites - I love the combo of colors in it!  I cut the 'K' and scalloped circle from CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart and the ribbon is from my stash.

There were 2 of each kind, here's a closeup of the first....

And a closeup of the second one...

Next you are off Sheila's blog at She's A Sassy Lady!

But before you go, I have some blog candy to give away - a double set of CTMH stamps!

I will draw a winner on Wednesday, April 18.  You must be a follower and leave a comment below to be eligible to win.  *Due to shipping, only US addresses are eligible.*
