I had my brother's birthday card made and ready to go for his birthday on Wednesday, until he told me about the trip his friends are taking him on for his 30th birthday, so I decided to make another one more tailored to his birthday this year - let's just say it represents a little hunting trip they are all going on next month...
I used Animal Kingdom for the alligator, Create a Critter for the birthday hat, and Gypsy Wanderings for the tag. The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'More Punny-licious', I used the Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug embossing folder to give the alligator his texture and I used 2 layers of ripped paper to make it look like he's in the water! All the paper was from my stash!
Knowing my brother, he'll get a kick out of this card! I guess you only turn 30 once, so he might as well do something he's never done before that I'm sure he will enjoy, being quite the country boy!
I'm entering this in My Pink Stamper's Pinkalicious blog hop challenge - it was to make a project showing your style! This card shows my style most of all because I made it specifically for my brother - I love making my cards completely personal to the person I'm giving it to - I think it makes them more special! Also, it has my favorite colors - green and blue! Green has always been my favorite color and now that I have 2 little boys, I love the green/blue combo! And lastly, I'm a sucker for pun cards, so My Pink Stamper stamps are perfect - my husband just rolls his eyes every time I make one, but I know he secretly loves them too! :-)
Have a great night, I'm off to bed! I had planned to be in bed by 10p tonight since I haven't gotten much sleep lately but once again, that didn't happen, so I'll shoot for 11:30p instead! :-)

1st Birthday party invitation
Our youngest son turns 1 in September, so I've started working on his birthday invitations. I'm going to do a farm animal theme and decided to try a flat invitation vs one that opens.
I used Animal Kingdom Cricut cart for the cow, Country Life Cricut cart for the pig/chicken and Just a Note Cricut cart for 'party'. All the paper/cardstock is from my stash.
Of course my printer choose tonight to die on me - GRR!! But my husband reminded me that I've been wanting a wireless printer, which I have, but now isn't the time I wanted to spend the money on buying one! :( So I couldn't print out the cute little poem I'm putting on it, as well as the party info but that will go in the blank spaces.
Please excuse the poor lighting in my picture, while I was trying to get my printer to work, the sun went down and I lost all the natural light for my picture! :( This definitely hasn't been my night but I really wanted to get this done so I could submit it for a challenge!
I'm entering this in the first challenge at Cricut 360º - design an invitation! Cricut 360º is a fun new challenge blog that started this month and I'm excited to participate!!
