Have the Happiest Birthday! cake card

I made this card for my Aunt's birthday next week!  I found this pretty print paper in my stash and wanted to use it!  I'm really challenging myself to use more of the patterned paper I have in my stash - I have so much of it but keep buying more, so for awhile I'm going to try to use some up and see if I can make a dent in it!
I didn't use my Gypsy at all on this one since I wanted to use the carts that are preloaded on my E2, that was a challenge after using it so much lately! I used Just a Note for the cake and Cricut Essentials for the frame.  All the paper and ribbon was from my stash and the sentiment stamp from My Pink Stamper's 'Fabulous Phrases' set.

I want to start decorating the insides of my cards more as well as the envelopes - I usually forget but really do love the way it looks!
I used a sentiment stamp and a cute little cake stamp from Hero Arts 'Birthday Messages' set, I thought it matched the cake on the front perfectly!

I'm entering this into a couple of challenges...

CS Father's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the CS Father's Day Blog Hop, hosted by Chris at Get Inspired With Chatterscene -  I hope all of our craft creations inspire you to make something great for the men in your life for Father's Day!  Thanks for joining us!!

You should have arrived here from Chris's blog Get Inspired With Chatterscene.  If you missed the beginning of the hop, please go back to the start of the hop at Chris' blog to start so you don't miss any of the projects! There is blog candy offered so you want to start at the beginning and read how to participate to win!

For my projects, I made 2 father's day cards - one for my dad and one for my husband from the boys and I!

My poor dad, who is the master of all things handy, has been helping my siblings and I with projects around our houses lately, so I wanted to make him a card with a recliner on it - in hopes that it will encourage him to ignore all of us and take it easy on father's day!  ;-)

The Father's Day Seasonal Cricut cart had the perfect recliner on it!!  I used the Dots, Stripes and Plaids stack from DCWV - its perfect for masculine cards!  The sentiment stamp is from the 'Our Fathers' set from Pink by Design, ribbon from American Crafts and the jewels I found in my stash.  I used the Cricut Essentials cart on my E2 for the tag as well as my Cuttlebug and the 'Argyle' embossing folder by Sizzix for the card base embossing, I used embossing powder and my heat gun to emboss the sentiment stamp and finally I inked the front of the card base as well as the edges.

Then for my card for my husband, I wanted to use a sports car - he's forevering talking about how much he wants a sports car but unfortunately it isn't in the financial cards for us right now.  :-(  So the best I can do is a sports car on his father's day card - its better then nothing, right?  ;-)  I found the sports car on the Father's Day Seasonal Cricut cart as well.  I used paper from my stash for this card, sentiment stamp from 'Our Fathers' by Pink By Design, twine from The Twinery as well as my Cuttlebug and the 'Argyle embossing folder by Sizzix again.

I have a fun giveaway here on my blog - an i-rock by Imaginesce as well as some bling to go with it, which I plan to pick up this weekend so that part will be a surprise!  :-)  I have been using mine for a couple of months and I do love it to add bling to my projects!  To be eligible to win, leave a comment on this post as well as become a follower of my blog!  I will use the random number generator to draw a name on Thursday, June 23 and will announce it here on my blog!
Thanks for hopping along with us!!  Remember, if you leave a comment on every designers blog hop post, your name will go into the drawing for the blog candy offered by ChatterScene.

Happy Anniversary and many more to come!

I made this card for my parents anniversary next week.  I decided to try a larger card, it was new for me since I tend to stick with A2 size cards and it was fun working with a different shape!  :-)
I used 'Cricut Essentials' for the tag and '50 States' for the flowers.  I used DCWV Blossom Song stack for the paper, Stampin Up 'A Word For You' sentiment stamp and American Crafts ribbon.

I'm entering this in the 'Made It Myself Mondays' weekly linking party on You Had Me At Craft, so you should do the same with your projects this week!

NSD Challenge #12

The final challenge of the day from My Pink Stamper was to make a project that's kid themed and because I have some little boy birthdays coming up this summer, I made a card!

I just got the Cricut cart Boys Will Be Boys and I love this robot cut, so I wanted to use it!  I cut the circles for the stamp from Cricut Essentials.  The card base is Kraft cardstock and the background cardstock is from DCWV 'Playtime' Stack, another current favorite of mine!  The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Boy Crazy' set.

NSD Challenge #9

This challenge from My Pink Stamper was to create a project with glitz, glam and glitter!  I don't often get to use a lot of glitz and glam with 2 little boys running around, so it was fun to be able to make a girly card to give to someone!  :-)
I used the Cheerful Seasons Cricut cart to cut the sunglasses and the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cart to cut the purse and hat.  I decorated them using my i-rock and gems as well as my sparkly Gelly Roll pen, the ribbon is from American Crafts!  I used Essentials to cut the scalloped rectangle and stamped the sentiment using the 'Everyday Occasions' set from My Pink Stamper in 'Hollyhock' ink from Close to My Heart.  The background cardstock is from the DCWV 'Blossom Song' stack.

I love how fun and girly this card is - that's the great part about challenges like this, I never would have made this if not for this challenge!  So thanks to Robyn for making me step outside my box!!  :-)

NSD Challenge #4

Its going to get a little out of order now, since I've skipped around with the challenges - I have several that are in various stages of planning/completion, so I'm posting what I have completed right now!

This challenge from My Pink Stamper's NSD Challenges was to create something with a mother's day theme!  I made this card and I love it so much, I almost kept it for myself!!  :-)  I'm finding as I make more cards, the creative process is getting easier - I can think of an idea and create it without too much strain on my brain!  ;-)

I bought several new DCWV stacks and I'm in love with them all!  These papers are from 'The Green Stack' - they're so soft and pretty and the papers are made from 70% recycled paper!!  The ric-rac is from American Crafts and the sentiment stamp is from 'Our Mothers' by Pink By Design.'  I cut the flowers from the new Essentials Cricut cartridge that comes on the E2.  Then I used the negative of the flowers under the buttons, I love the way it looks!
