Third Thursday Challenge

Long time, no blog!! Life has gotten in the way of me blogging lately though fortunately I've had time to craft & its been great!

I made this card for a challenge on my new favorite website's blog, Crafty Steals!! It was fun to make & I got to use up some of my scraps in the process, which is always a win/win!!  I apologize for not having the specifics on the manufacturers, but here's my card...

It was based on this sketch...

Mojo Monday 254

I made a Christmas card today using the Mojo Monday 254 sketch...

Here's my card!  I used a kraft cardstock base and Echo Park Season's Greetings stack to make this card.  The tree was cut from CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart then stamped with the coordinating stamp, the brads and ribbon are from my stash.

Monday Card Madness #96

And yes, another Christmas card today - I'm on a roll!!  :)  I used the Monday Card Madness sketch at ScrapbookSteals for my inspiration - another great sketch!

Here's my card!  I used Echo Park paper for this card and a sentiment stamp from my stash but I'm not sure of the manufacturer, the diecut that the sentiment is on was cut from Elegant Edges cricut cart.  I used my distress tool to distress the edges of all the paper I used for this card, I really like the way it looks!

Nice and simple!  :)

Another Christmas card

I made this one based on the Mojo Monday 251 sketch but didn't get it finished last week like I planned, better late then never!!

Here's the sketch...
And here's my card!

I used CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart for the scallop and circle, the paper is from Echo Park 'Season's Greetings' stack and the holly and sentiment stamp are CTMH stamps that coordinate with Art Philosophy.

Mojo Monday 252

I've started working on my Christmas cards last week, I definitely need to get going and we're having a Christmas card weekly challenge at Chatter Scene to inspire us!!  I chose to use the Mojo Monday blog sketch for this week's card.

Here's the sketches - I opted to go with the square and made a 5x5 card...
Here's my card!  Sorry for the poor pictures, its overcast here today so the lighting wasn't great!  But if that means we may get some rain, I'm ok with that!!

The inside...

I used CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart for the snowflakes and ornament and the paper is from Echo Park 'Season's Greetings' stack.

Believe in the Magic

I didn't manage to get too many Christmas cards made this year, time just didn't allow it and I had to let some things go and unfortunately, that meant my cards.  I have high hopes for next year though and hope to get an early start on them - if the stars align, I plan to start next week with some new Christmas stamps and paper I got in the mail from my friend Chris!  :-)

But I did make a few for my scrappy friends as well as some to serve as thank you notes for family members who gave us gifts but we were unable to thank in person due to our boys being sick and us missing Christmas with my extended family.  It was as easy as changing the inside sentiment stamp I used - I love it when that happens!  ;-)

The snowman stamp is from CTMH 'Pair-a-Phrase' set and the sentiment stamp is from a set that I won not too long ago and love - Robin's Creative Cottage 'Gingerbread Holiday'.  Both the tags are cut from CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cart, the twine is from The Twinery and the paper/cardstock I had in my stash.

I'm entering this into the following challenges...
*Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog's challenge #94 - Snow Fun  (include a snowflake or snowman on your project)
*Paper Playtime challenge #65 - Tags & include a sentiment (make a tag or include a tag on your project with a sentiment)
*My Craft Spot challenge #41- Snow much fun (snowflakes, snowmen, anything to do with snow)

Happy Friday!

For my final project, I made a card using the traditional red and green!  :)  The paper was from the DCWV stack 'Holiday Collection: The Christmas Stack' once again, the card stock is from my stash.  The sentiment stamp is from Pink By Design 'Scripted Year' set.  The wreath is from the Christmas Solutions Cricut cartridge and the card base was embossed using the Sizzix 'Snow Flowers' embossing folder and my Cuttlebug.
I used my Gelly Roll 'Stardust' pen to outline the bow - I love these pens, they write so smooth and add subtle sparkle without being overwhelming!

Christmas In July blog hop - Day 2!

Welcome and thank you for joining us for Day 2 of our Christmas in July Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Chris' blog @ Get Inspired With Chatterscene. I used my Gypsy and Gypsy Wanderings Cricut cartridge again for this card and these colors are even more unconventional and I think its too much for me - I'm not digging the pink but I had that pink/blue snowflake paper in my DCWV stack 'Holiday Collection: The Christmas Stack' that I wanted to use, so I figured I'd try it.  I've never done the crinkled ribbon border before and its not working out very well because it keeps coming off, so I need to see if there's a better way to do it so I can redo that part but it works for now!  :)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!  Here's the lineup again...

Christmas In July blog hop!!

Welcome and thank you for joining us for our Christmas in July Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Chris' blog @ Get Inspired With Chatterscene . For my project today, I made a Christmas card using blues, browns and greens, so definitely not typical Christmas colors but I really like the way it turned out!  I've recently started using my Gypsy again and I'm in love all over again - I'm not sure why I stopped using it but now I can't make a project without it!!  And in rediscovering my Gypsy, I've also paid more attention to Gypsy Wanderings and I'M IN LOVE with this cart - so many great cuts!!

I used the DCWV stack 'Holiday Collection: The Christmas Stack' for this card, as well as a Kraft cardstock base.  The card base shape is a tag from Gypsy Wanderings that I welded together and both the word art and the reindeer also came from that cart.  I used my i-rock and gems as well as American Crafts Ribbon.
Here's the lineup in case you get lost along the way - have fun hopping!  :)

Christmas cards

I was determined this year to make all of our Christmas cards, despite my later then planned start on them, from having the baby unexpectantly 6 weeks early!!  I may have mailed them the week of Christmas, but I still got them done!!  I made several different designs but in my rush to get them mailed, only got a picture of a couple of them.
