Monday Card Madness #85

I haven't had time lately to get any of my cards for MCM done, but finally found some time the other night to make an anniversary card for my parents - I had made one a couple of weeks ago but decided I wanted to do a different one for them and will save the first one for someone else!

I used this sketch from ScrapbookSteals Monday Card Madness #85 - it was a fun sketch that I know I will be using again!

I used the Latte stack from DCWV to make this card, the flower I cut from CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart, buttons from my stash and twine from The Twinery.  I couldn't find any Thickers in my stash that coordinated with the colors in the card, so I left off a sentiment from the front - if I have any time to buy some between now and when we give it to them, I will add Love on there...

The inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!

Love card

I made this card for my parent's anniversary next month - they will be celebrating 40 years!  I definitely admire them, they still go on dates and hold hands after all these years together - its very inspiring to my husband and I!  :-)

I used the sketch from the Scrapbook Steals Monday Card Madness #81 - great sketch, the card came together quick and easy!  The hardest part was picking out paper to use, which I finally decided on my new stack from My Mind's Eye 'A Happy Heart' stack - the colors in this are so pretty and I thought the flower petals looked like hearts, so it worked perfectly for the card I was making!  The sentiment stamp is from CTMH, the buttons and brads from my stash, I used CTMH Art Philosophy to cut the scalloped half circle and the banners I cut by hand.

Here's the sketch...
And my card!

The inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up.  Sorry for the poor lighting, it was cloudy this morning when I was taking the pictures and I couldn't get the inside picture to turn out very well, so I gave up!

Love

I made this card for my brother and SILs anniversary today, they are celebrating 6 yrs together!

I used the Ambrosia stack by Basic Grey - I do love that stack, the colors are gorgeous, perfect for fall! The card base is from DCWV.  The heart was cut from CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart and I used the coordinating stamp on it (the heart and squares underneath look blue in the picture but they are actully grey - not sure why they look different because all the other colors look right). The 'love' stamp is from CTMH.

I used my new d stress tool from Imaginesce to distress the edges of the small squares, the heart and the orange rectangle in the middle. I used my Quick Quotes chalking ink to ink everything and once again, I'm so glad I got these inks- I love them! Then I used my Sew Easy to stitch the heart on the card, I'm really not liking it the more I use it, so I think I'm going to pull out my sewing machine and start using that instead - its been about 10 yrs since I used it, so I'll have to re-familiarize myself with it!

I layed two of the same papers on the inside, inked them and I used a stamp from My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments' as well a heart stamp from CTMH.  I used the same heart on the corner of the envelope.

I was inspired by this card in Paper Crafts magazine, July/August 201 issue!

I'm entering this into the Magazine Inspired challege at Get Inspired with Chatter Scene.  There's still time to enter, so head over there to check out the details!

Chris is also hosting another challenge, to cut fabric with your cricut!  Go here for details!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Anniversary!

**Go here for my 100 follower challenge/giveaway!!**

I made this card for my sister's anniversary next month using Cosmo Cricket stack 'Material Girl' and Gypsy Wanderings Cricut cart - I told you I was hooked on that cart!!  :)  I used the tag feature and welded two together to make the base and placed the heart inside using SU Dimensionals so it would show through the window and stand out when the card was opened!  I used embossing powder and my heat gun to give the sentiment stamp (My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments') some dimension.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Anniversary and many more to come!

I made this card for my parents anniversary next week.  I decided to try a larger card, it was new for me since I tend to stick with A2 size cards and it was fun working with a different shape!  :-)
I used 'Cricut Essentials' for the tag and '50 States' for the flowers.  I used DCWV Blossom Song stack for the paper, Stampin Up 'A Word For You' sentiment stamp and American Crafts ribbon.

I'm entering this in the 'Made It Myself Mondays' weekly linking party on You Had Me At Craft, so you should do the same with your projects this week!
