Pumpkin thank you cards

My mom and aunt got together and made us these beautiful fabric pumpkins (I can't get a good picture of them for some reason, the colors are much richer in person!), they gave us (my siblings and I) however many we wanted- I just love them!  My aunt is dealing with breast cancer right now so my mom has been getting together with her to work on fun projects to keep her mind off of it - they both love to quilt anyway - but they are trying other crafts as well, I just wish I lived closer so I could play too!  :-)  But it means so much to us that she used the little energy she has to make us something special!  So I wanted to send them both a thank you note, to tell them just how much we appreciate the pumpkins that are decorating our table for fall!!

I used Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons for the pumpkins, DCWV 'Amber Autumn' stack for the printed paper, the cardstock was from my stash, DCWV card bases, ribbon from American Crafts and CTMH 'Thank You' set for the sentiment stamps.

I'm entering these into Challenge #60 Cricut Creations: Thank You Projects at Paper Playtime and Week 22: Made It Myself Monday weekly linking party at You Had Me at Craft.

Have a great day!

1st birthday party invitations - farm animal theme

I'm DONE!!  They went in the mail Tuesday morning, so everyone got them yesterday!!  :-)  I love the way they turned out, so cute and exactly what I pictured!!

I used the Pop-Up Neighborhood cart for everything except the '1', its from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cart, I welded the card base together with my Gypsy, all the cardstock is Recollections and the sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Sweet Baby' set.  The barn door is embossed using my Cuttlebug and the embossing folder 'Forest Branches'.

I printed the inside on cardstock with my printer then rounded the corners with my Fiskars corner rounder and added the pig!

Then I used a stamp from Hero Arts to decorate the envelope!

I ended up using the MS scoreboard and directions I found here, to make the envelope.  I had a comment last week on my post about these, telling me that the MS scoreboard had directions for a 6x6 envelope on it.  That was actually the reason I bought it and did try it but the envelope was HUGE, at least 6.5x6.5 vs 6x6 like it said, so it didn't work.  But luckily I cound the other directions and they worked perfectly and I didn't even need extra postage, just a plain 'ole stamp!

Thanks for stopping by!  Next I have to make his banner and thank you notes, so hopefully those will go much quicker then the invites!  :-)  Have a great day!

Ladybugs everywhere!!

I made these thank you cards for a friend - she needs them for her daughter's first birthday, which is ladybug themed!  The ladybug is from Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cart (I left out the middle layer) and the card base is from Wild Card cart.  The cardstock I got at Hobby Lobby and I used a stamp from the dollar bins at Michaels to make the polka dots!

I gave a sneak peek on here a couple of weeks ago when I started making them, but for these, the sentiment is on the inside and I made it using a stamps from My Pink Stamper set 'Buggy Punnies' and one from CTMH 'Thank You' - I wasn't sure it would look ok with the 2 differnt fonts but I love the way it turned out!

She needed 24 total, they were time consuming but I do love the way they turned out and she was so happy with them, so it was worth it!

The envelope was also from Wild Card cart, then I stamped a small flower in the corner - I wish I had a ladybug stamp but didn't, so figured a flower would work!

Thank You!!

I had originally made this card for the Cricut 360º challenge a couple of weeks ago but due to our AC issues and not being home much for a week, I never got it posted.  :(

But I wanted to show it anyway because I love the way it turned out!  I have to credit my friend Tracy for helping me figure out how to do the polka dot background, as I was having the hardest time finding the perfect polka dot paper - so thanks to Tracy and the $1 spot at Michaels, I made my own using a stamp!!  :)

The base is from Wild Card Cricut cart, cut with red cardstock then stamped with a polka dot stamp using black ink.  The ladybug is from Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cricut cart, though I left out the middle layer.  The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Everyday Life' set.

I'm entering it in the Made It Myself Mondays weekly linking party at You Had Me At Craft!
Have a wonderful day!

NSD Challenge #11

This challenge from My Pink Stamper was to make a project using pink, green and black!  Since I do have 2 boys, this limits me to making cards (vs a LO) and I have a certain little girl who has a birthday this summer that I made this for - it fits her spunky little personality perfectly!

I'll be honest, I wasn't too sure about the Cricut Decals cart that came with the E2, but I decided to try it and I really like it!!  My husband even said how cute the little girl was and he's always good about giving me his honest (sometimes too much so ;-)) opinion when it comes to my cards!  I cut the flippie floppies (as my son calls them :-)) from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cart - they were small so it took a couple of tries to get it off the mat without ripping it but they're cute, so I'm glad I made them work!  All of the paper and cardstock was from my stash and the sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up 'So Happy For You' set.

NSD Challenge #9

This challenge from My Pink Stamper was to create a project with glitz, glam and glitter!  I don't often get to use a lot of glitz and glam with 2 little boys running around, so it was fun to be able to make a girly card to give to someone!  :-)
I used the Cheerful Seasons Cricut cart to cut the sunglasses and the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cart to cut the purse and hat.  I decorated them using my i-rock and gems as well as my sparkly Gelly Roll pen, the ribbon is from American Crafts!  I used Essentials to cut the scalloped rectangle and stamped the sentiment using the 'Everyday Occasions' set from My Pink Stamper in 'Hollyhock' ink from Close to My Heart.  The background cardstock is from the DCWV 'Blossom Song' stack.

I love how fun and girly this card is - that's the great part about challenges like this, I never would have made this if not for this challenge!  So thanks to Robyn for making me step outside my box!!  :-)

Have the Happiest Birthday!

I made this card for my best friend but couldn't post it until this weekend, since her birthday was Friday and I didn't want her to see it on here before she had it in her hands!  :-)  Hopefully she's gotten it by now, so I can post it!

I cut this dragonfly from Cheerful Seasons Cricut cartridge but I don't remember the size. All the paper was from my stash, I used the D'Vine Cuttlebug embossing folder for the dragonfly.  The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases' and I used my i-rock, gems and stencil to make the swirl.  I still haven't figured out how to not make the glue squish out on the sides, as you can see on some of them, but hopefully one of these days I'll get that mastered!  ;-)

Happy Birthday Diane!!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and this card made you smile!  :-)

Happy 1st Birthday!

I had a request for this card, her baby girl is turning one and she calls her 'love bug', so My Pink Stamper's 'Buggy Punnies' stamp set was perfect because it has that sentiment in it and I used My Pink Stamper's 'Sweet Baby' set for the birthday sentiment!  I hope she loves it, I enjoyed making it!

I can't remember which cart I got the scallop circle from, but I welded two together using my Gypsy.  The ladybug was cut at 3 inches from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cart.  I made a square envelope from the Wild Card cart, with a liner that matches the card!
