Speed Racer birthday invitation

I made these invites for my youngest's 2nd birthday next month, I can't believe he's almost 2 - I just had him yesterday, didn't I??!

Since we got him a big race car track for his birthday, I decided to go with the race car theme for his party!  I used the race car from Boys Will Be Boys cricut cart.  I used Kraft cardstock for the base and some new cardstock for the race car that I got from JoAnn's last week, I really like it - it cut so great in my cricut and embossed perfectly in my cuttlebug!  I used the diamond plate embossing folder for the circle behind the car, twine from We R Memory Keepers, the speed racer sentiment is from My Pink Stamper and I used the Teeny Tag Greetings stamp and matching tag die from My Creative Time for the "You're Invited" tag.

On the inside, I put a piece of the grey cardstock that matches the circle on the front then I will print the party details and adhere them to the grey cardstock and it'll be ready to mail.

More birthday cards

Here's another set of cards I made using the Thumbellina collection from Piggy Tales, the sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Punny-licious' and the twine from The Twinery.  I cut the bird from the Cricut Cake 'Birthday Cakes' cart.

 Here's the second one...
The inside stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Everyday Life', both card insides are the same...
I used the same sketch that I used on my cards yesterday...

A few birthday cards

I made these using the Thumbellina collection from Piggy Tales, I love these pattern papers and they are perfect for birthday cards since I don't have any girls to scrapbook for!

I made 2 variations of the same card, I'm trying to build up my stash of cards!  I used the Cricut Cake cart 'Birthday Cakes' to cut the tulips and based them on this sketch!
Here's the first card.  The sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Everyday Life', the twine is from The Twinery and the ribbon on the second card is from my stash.

The inside of both cards are the same...the sentiment stamp is also from My Pink Stamper 'Everyday Life'.

I'm entering these cards into Challenge Me Monday #103 at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog - Celebrate Spring (make a project with at least three flowers).

Birthday card

I made this card for my SILs birthday, I used my new DCWV Citrus and Citrus cardstock stacks that I got for Christmas, I love these colors!  With this beautiful weather we've been having, I can't help but be in the mood for spring!

For some reason, the lighting on this card didn't come out quite as bright as it really is in person - I think taking the pictures at the time of day I did (4:30p), didn't help but hopefully you get the general idea.

The flower was cut from CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart - I cut it a couple of different times in different colors of cardstock to give it dimension and mimic the flowers in the paper, the ribbon and button are from my stash and the sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases.'

The inside sentiment is from Stampin' Up 'Curvy Verses.'

Sweet Bundle of Joy baby card

My brother and SIL had their baby boy yesterday and we are so excited to meet him, I needed a card to go with his gift and this is what I came up with!!

I used Echo Park's new line 'A Boy's Life' for the cardstock (LOVE this new line!), I cut the onesie from 9 Months cricut cart, then I used My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases' for the outside sentiment.  I wrapped The Twinery twine around the front to match the ducky on the onesie.

I used Cloud 9 'Simple Thoughts Boy' for the inside sentiment...

I used the baby foot from My Pink Stamper 'Sweet Baby' for the envelope...

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Mini valentines

I made some "Dino-mite" cards for my son to hand out at his valentine's day party - they turned out adorable and perfect size for 3 yr olds - 3x3!

I stamped the inside then I plan to write my son's name as well as have him "sign" them!

I used Create A Critter for the dinosaur, CTMH Art Philosophy for the card base, 3 different My Pink Stamper stamps to make the front (you're and dino-mite were separate sentiments, so I taped off and made them one phrase!) and inside sentiments and a heart stamp with versa mark ink to stamp the heart because I realized that I didn't have even one piece of Valentine's day paper in my possession and I needed to get these done, so I improvised!!  All the card stock I used was from my stash!

I'm adding some candy with these and into an envelope they'll go and ready for him to exchange at his party - I think mama is more excited about his first valentine's day party then he is!!  :)

Spaceship birthday card

One of my good friend's son/my oldest's best friend, is turning 4 this month, so I made this card for him!

All the paper is from DCWV - the print paper from 'All About Boys' stack, the cardstock from 'Amber Autumn' and 'Neutrals' cardstock stacks.  I designed the colors in the card around the background paper - I love it!  The spaceship is from B is for Boy cricut cartridge, the sentiment stamp on the outside is from My Pink Stamper 'Fabulous Phrases' set, the inside is from Hero Arts 'Birthday Messages' set and the spaceship stamp is from CTMH.  I inked everything using my Powder Puff chalking inks from Quick Quotes - love that ink!

I stamped the same spaceship stamp on the envelope in the green ink that I inked the card with.

Love

I made this card for my brother and SILs anniversary today, they are celebrating 6 yrs together!

I used the Ambrosia stack by Basic Grey - I do love that stack, the colors are gorgeous, perfect for fall! The card base is from DCWV.  The heart was cut from CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cart and I used the coordinating stamp on it (the heart and squares underneath look blue in the picture but they are actully grey - not sure why they look different because all the other colors look right). The 'love' stamp is from CTMH.

I used my new d stress tool from Imaginesce to distress the edges of the small squares, the heart and the orange rectangle in the middle. I used my Quick Quotes chalking ink to ink everything and once again, I'm so glad I got these inks- I love them! Then I used my Sew Easy to stitch the heart on the card, I'm really not liking it the more I use it, so I think I'm going to pull out my sewing machine and start using that instead - its been about 10 yrs since I used it, so I'll have to re-familiarize myself with it!

I layed two of the same papers on the inside, inked them and I used a stamp from My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments' as well a heart stamp from CTMH.  I used the same heart on the corner of the envelope.

I was inspired by this card in Paper Crafts magazine, July/August 201 issue!

Have the Hoppy-Est Birthday!

I made this card for my niece's 3rd birthday, thought it was perfect for her spunky personality!

Instead of an envelope, I thought I would do something different and attach ribbon to the back and tie it to keep it closed, then she can untie it to read the inside! So it serves as his collar as well as an open/close on the card! :)

I used cardstock from my scrap pile and the ribbon I found in my stash - its hard to see in the picture but it has black, pink and green stripes, so it matched perfectly!

The frog is from Create A Critter cricut cart, the sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Buggy Punnies' and the inside sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I used my gypsy to weld two frogs together to form the card base then I cut another one in green to make the card front and another one in pink to make the inside pretty!

1st Birthday thank you cards

In keeping with the farm animal theme, I used the cow from Pop-Up Neighborhood again for the thank you cards.  The cards are 4.25 x 4.25, made with cardstock from my stash.  The grass is also cut from Pop-Up Neighborhood and the sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper.

Just a simple piece of white cardstock on the inside so I could write the notes.

I made a 4.5 x 4.5 envelope using my MS scoreboard (not picured).  I finished making the envelopes and writing them out last night while I watched a movie with my husband after the boys were in bed, so just need to address them and get them in the mail first thing in the morning!

Don't forget to stop by Chris' blog Get Inspired With Chatterscene to become a follower of hers and help her reach her 500 follower goal!  When she gets there, she's giving away a Luau Cricut cart!  She's amazingly talented with paper crafts as well as other projects and now she's doing blog makeovers - mine is a perfect example of her beautiful work!  Go here for details on getting your own blog made over!

Grandparents day cards

They will be late, but they're done!  :-)  And of course the grandparents won't care, but it still drives me nuts when cards are late!  I made these for the boys to give my parents, my MIL and my grandma!

All the card bases are 4x4, I cut the envelopes (not shown) using CTMH Art Philosophy cart.  I used Create A Critter cart for the animals, My Pink Stamper 'punny' sets for the stamps, all the paper/cardstock and ribbon is from my stash.  The twine on the squirrel card is from The Twinery.  I used the Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder and my Cuttlebug to emboss the background cardstock on the skunk card and the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to emboss the top of the acorn that the squirrel is holding. I didn't have Happy Grandparents day stamps, so I hand wrote it as well as a little note to each, then my son signed them.

Have a great weekend and Happy Grandparents Day to all the grandparents out there!

1st birthday party invitations - farm animal theme

I'm DONE!!  They went in the mail Tuesday morning, so everyone got them yesterday!!  :-)  I love the way they turned out, so cute and exactly what I pictured!!

I used the Pop-Up Neighborhood cart for everything except the '1', its from the Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cart, I welded the card base together with my Gypsy, all the cardstock is Recollections and the sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper 'Sweet Baby' set.  The barn door is embossed using my Cuttlebug and the embossing folder 'Forest Branches'.

I printed the inside on cardstock with my printer then rounded the corners with my Fiskars corner rounder and added the pig!

Then I used a stamp from Hero Arts to decorate the envelope!

I ended up using the MS scoreboard and directions I found here, to make the envelope.  I had a comment last week on my post about these, telling me that the MS scoreboard had directions for a 6x6 envelope on it.  That was actually the reason I bought it and did try it but the envelope was HUGE, at least 6.5x6.5 vs 6x6 like it said, so it didn't work.  But luckily I cound the other directions and they worked perfectly and I didn't even need extra postage, just a plain 'ole stamp!

Thanks for stopping by!  Next I have to make his banner and thank you notes, so hopefully those will go much quicker then the invites!  :-)  Have a great day!

Fall Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the Fall Blog Hop with Circle Sisters!

You should be coming from the very talented DoodleDiva. If you've just happened to come across my blog, please check out each of these talented ladies' blogs. You will want to start at Kristen's blog for the beginning of the hop.

For my project, I made a Thanksgiving dinner hostess gift!  I made a pillow box from the CTMH Art Philosophy cart as well as a matching card/envelope.  I cut the box at 8", the border at 1.5" and the label at 2" - it was my first pillow box and so fun and easy to make!  And its a great size, will be perfect to fill up with chocolate!  :-)  Both stamps from the box and card front are from CTMH 'Jubilation' set and the inside sentiment is from My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments'.  All the paper is from my stash, though I wish I knew what brand it was so I could get more - I love it!

Your next stop is Lisa - thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!

Baptism cards

My niece and nephew are being baptized this weekend, so I made them each a card to go with their gifts.  I was having a hard time figuring out how to make them with having limited religious diecuts on my carts - so I decided to go with fun colors and a simple cross.

The paper was all from my stash, the crosses from Indie Art Solutions cart and inked with pewter ink, the card bases/envelopes from Art Philosophy and the inside sentiment from My Pink Stamper 'Happiest Moments.'  I got my twine order from The Twinery yesterday :-), so I used it on both cards!

I couldn't get this card to stand up to take pics, so I had to hold it - please excuse my hand!  I need to get something to hold my cards when I take pics but keep forgetting to look for something!

There's still time to enter my friend Chris' 400 follower giveaway at her blog Get Inspired with Chatterscene as well as her Back to School challenge on her messageboard Chatter Scene!

Have a great weekend! Its going to be a busy one here but I have so much to get done, so I hope to be spending a lot of it in my scrap room!
