**Go here for my 100 follower challenge/giveaway!!**
My aunt was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is going through treatment now. :( I made this card for her, to give her a little encouragement and to let her know that I will be walking in the Race for the Cure walk in her honor - she will be out of town at her son's wedding and since I can't go, I am doing the next best thing and representing our family at the walk to raise money to find a cure for this devastating disease!
I used my new Cosmo Cricket stacks, the colors are so pretty - this stack was 'Delovely' and had the perfect shades of pink that I was looking for! All of the cuts on this card are from Gypsy Wanderings Cricut cart, including the base which I welded together using my Gypsy. I only attached the body of the butterfly to give it some dimension and make it look like its flying! The twine is from The Twinery.
I'm entering it in the Made It Myself Mondays weekly linking party at You Had Me At Craft!
I know your lovely card will bring encouragement to your aunt. My mother had breast cancer many years ago. Hugs, Sarah

Hi, I am a new follower of your blog and this post really touched my heart. My dad passed away at the age of 49 from cancer on Jan. 5th 1994 and it still feels like it was yesterday. I am so sorry that your aunt and family has to go through this. Then just about a little less then 2 weeks I found out that one of my VERY good friends has cancer, again! I am SO worried about him. We are really good friends and I feel so helpless. I just hope he can beat this and make it through ok just like I hope your aunt does the exact same thing. Cancer is terrible and everytime I hear that someone has it I go back to my dad being sick and having it. My prayers are for you and your aunt and of course your family.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have a giveaway starting tomorrow sometime so if you wish to enter just hop on over and give it a try. No challenge just leaving comments and that sort of thing.
Take care and I am really sorry that you are dealing with this. It is so sad anytime someone has to fight for their life with this horrible disease! Hugs!!
